Cardano Hotel Malpensa

the shuttle driver was very helpful and friendly and so were the front desk staff. you have to pay for the shuttle (3 euros for one way) to the front desk and not to the driver, i paid for my shuttles during my check in so that on the day of my check out all i had to do was drop the keys at the front desk. the room had all the necessities and even provided pretty good toiletries. it was modern, clean and comfy. there's a pizza place thats just a 3 min walk from the hotel and it made for a really good dinner (i ordered the salmon pizza, mozzarella balls and a bottle of water for 14 euros) the hotel is in a residential area so it was pretty quiet and as a solo female traveller, i felt quite safe walking out the hotel even if it was just to the pizza shop. the room is quite pricey for a one night near-the-airport stay but it met my expectations.

We booked the "quad" room, a rarity in Europe, for our family of four. The room had a double bed for parents and two twin beds for kids. Clean, comfortable room. Quiet, safe, suburban location. Great breakfast, great variety! Our train was delayed, so we arrived late to check in (10pm), but the front desk staff gladly made an extra effort to help us find an open restaurant (most were closed) for a late dinner. The hotel shuttle to Malpensa/Milan airport (10 minute ride) next morning was on time, clean, and reasonably priced.

Having the airport shuttle so we could be sure that our bicycle boxes could be transported away from the airport was the main reason we picked the Cardano, but we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms, the facilities (pool, large underground car park) and eay going nature of the staff. The breakfast buffet was great, there was an adequate supermarket nearby, and there are nearby restaurants. For us it was a perfect place to start and end our European cycling holiday, and would no hesitation in choosing this hotel again.

Lovely family feel hotel, excellent customer service and lovely staff. the bed and bedding were exceptional, super clean and comfy room. I had arrived early in the morning after 18 hrs and 2 flights, exhausted and desperate to sleep, I was allowed early check in which saved me from a miserable 4 hr wait! The hotel provide a shuttle for 5 euros, excellent value. I was collected from Malpensa within 15 minutes and I was so grateful and relieved, and I slept so well. Location is excellent for the airport and also to visit some lovely places by train. after I slept I took the train to Lake Maggiore! it cost so little and I visited 2 towns along the lake. when I returned I called the hotel and they sent their mini bus to pick me up from the train station. They made it so easy for me to rest and not worry between flights, next morning at 5 am the shuttle took me back to Malpensa. it is very close and not crowded and security was passed in 10 mins, I could have had an extra hour in the lovely bed!

It's really amazing value for money for those looking to stay very close to the Malpensa airport. Obviously it's not The Ritz, but everything is as described and it's got all the essentials you need as a traveller. They have a private and big parking spots monitored by CCTV, it's very easy to find, very friendly staffs, check-in/out process is very fast and smooth, the room has comfortable bed, big windows, desk for work, charger ports, decent wifi, powerful shower, powerful hair dryer, nice comfort towels, toiletries, and pretty much everything you could ask for and for very reasonable price. Now, around the restaurants there are many good restaurants just a few minutes drive or even walk. If you plan to travel to Milan or Torino, the toll / highway it's just 1 min away from the hotel.
